Mindflex is developed in Berlin by psychologists. We built the Duolingo for Psychology: Bernie, an AI learning companion who explains psychology using your own everyday life.
Why we're building this
Psychology explains a surprising amount of everyday life: why your brain replays a conversation, why some habits stick and others don't, why the same sentence lands differently on different days. Yet most of that knowledge stays in textbooks and lecture halls, written for people who already study it.
We started Mindflex to make psychology understandable, playful and accessible to everyone. Bernie connects each concept to situations from your own day, and you collect XP, keep your streak and build a library of 78 concepts along the way.
The founders
Responsible for the psychological framework behind Mindflex: the structure of Bernie's conversations, how each concept is explained, and the editorial review of public-facing content.
Responsible for psychological accuracy and ethical safeguards across the Mindflex experience, particularly the boundaries where an AI learning companion should step back and point to a qualified professional.
Responsible for product and growth: that Mindflex reaches the people it was built for, and that everything public about it stays honest, compliant, and clear.
The founding team met during their psychology studies at Health and Medical University Potsdam. In Germany, Psychologe and Psychotherapeut are legally protected titles. Details on How we work.
What Mindflex is, and what it isn't
Mindflex is a learning app for psychology. Bernie, your AI learning companion, explains psychological concepts using situations from your own life. Short lessons, a quiz now and then, XP and streaks, and a library of 78 concepts that grows as you discover them.
It is a place to learn, not a professional service. Mindflex is a learning service and does not replace personal advice from qualified professionals.
What we build Mindflex for is simple: psychology that is understandable, playful and open to everyone, one concept at a time.
